What does the error code on my display unit mean?

Certain technical issues with the Swytch Kit can produce error codes on the display units to make troubleshooting easier. The error codes programmed into the display units are generally universal, but they might be displayed differently due to the nature of their respective interfaces.

The non-digital display units found in Swytch kits display their error codes on the right column (power level indicator). The highest setting is level 5 (strong assist), the lowest setting is level 1(weak but charge efficient assist).

On the digital display units, the error codes will be displayed with their specific assigned numbers.

Error 22 on the LED and OLED digital displays is a throttle abnormality. If you see this error on the display unit, make sure to check if the throttle is properly installed on the handlebars and the connection fits tightly. We advise checking inspecting the throttle lever to ensure it is not stuck against the shifter mechanism or perhaps an adjacent handlebar grip.

Error 25 (right column flashing at levels 3 and 5) is a brake sensor installation malfunction.
1. Disconnect the brake sensors from the mount or harness and check if the Kit operates normally without them connected to the system. If the Kit works without the sensors but does not work with them connected, there is likely a problem with the installation.
2. The error can sometimes occur when the Kit is turned on while a brake is engaged. To reset, make sure to turn off the Kit, ensure that the brakes are released, and turn the Kit back on.
3. If the error persists, inspect the brake sensor installation for misalignment or damage.

Error 26 is undervoltage warning on the digital LED display. This is not indicative of any problem with the installation or components malfunctioning, the battery simply needs to be re-charged.

Error 30 (both columns flashing on all levels at once) is a communication problem between the display unit and the controller module. The connection between the display and the rest of the system should be checked for potential damage on the cable or the connector itself. If the issue persists, the display likely needs a replacement.

Red Exclamation Mark (!) symbol on the LED digital display is not an error code. The symbol briefly appears after turning on the Kit similarly to how some symbols briefly appear on a car's dashboard when the key is turned in the ignition.

Single bar flashing on the left column of the non-digital LED display is not an error code. This means the battery charge is at very low level and the pack should be connected to the charger.
