The thing to remember about batteries is that they do have a limited lifetime. All batteries degrade over time, whether you use them or not. But taking care of your battery can increase it's life span. Swytch batteries are made with some of the highest quality lithium ion cells available on the market, and are built to last, but it is not likely that you will be able to get the exact same performance across the life of the battery.
The Swytch Battery can be discharged and re-charged at least 300 times before you should start to notice a drop in performance or range. This is based on typical usage of the default PAS mode with pedalling. Repeated and consistent usage of the throttle or maximum power mode will lead to additional battery strain that may result in reduced battery life.
